I wish I could impart upon people, especially non-American people, that their entire perception of Trump is literally a fabrication of the media. I'm not going to call you an idiot or an ignoramus for believing what you've heard. It's a facet of humans being cognitive misers. I would like to impress upon you the importance of due diligence if you wish to opine further, as that is the morally correct thing to do, rather than add to the mindless hysteria.

I suppose I should add to my last post about Warmachine: I don't play it that much and I don't keep my ear to the ground all the time (hence why I only found out about this sale over a week after the fact), but the general consensus around the game seems to be that it's been losing relevance since the end of MkII around 2016 and Privateer Press has been trying to get something to stick ever since with spinoffs like Riot Quest and Warcaster. It's really difficult to eke out a space in the wargaming scene since going up against GW is like going up against World of Warcraft during its heyday. They suck all the oxygen out of any given room, so unless you're planning on making a historical wargame or some other niche, you're fighting uphill for relevance at all times.

I really like Warmachine's aesthetic. I like the fantasy-mech fusion with the chunky models of bulky robots with two-inch thick plating stomping around on comparatively tiny legs. I like the absurdity of industry and anachronistic technology being an element in a sword and sorcery setting. I've been wanting to dive back into it fully for a while since I stopped playing Magic a few months ago.

I don't know anything about Steamforged Games, but I hope they'll be a boon for Warmachine. I don't even care if they do a full-on reboot for the game and wipe the lore clean, I just want to have something other than 40k to play.

Just found out that Warmachine (the wargame) got sold to a UK company, Steamforged Games. It's kind of a bummer.

I change my mind. I'm no longer interested in Deadlock.

I'm honestly pretty intrigued with what I've seen of Deadlock. I don't play MOBAs, but I'd be willing to try it.

I know that people are upset that this is a thing. I'm no Valve sycophant, but if there's any developer these days that deserves at least the benefit of the doubt, it's Valve. It's kinda sad that the ridiculously shit state of the entire industry has made people repulsed at the mere idea of a new hero shooter.

I don't know if the Paper Mario TTYD switch port translation of Vivian will blow up like Bidget from Strive but I think I should probably stay off Twitter for the next few days just in case.

Quietly talking into the void at 3 am:

I'm starting to think that it's really not worth having any expectation that Twitter will get any better. I don't buy into the flurry of anti-Elon propaganda that the 5th column media puts out, but it's been, what, two years since Twitter changed hands? Artists I follow constantly get mass reported by retarded zoomers and the bots and spam are just as bad as they've ever been. At the very best, nothing has really changed.

Boy howdy do I love opening Twitter and being met with endless snark and nonsensical niggerspeak 24/7.
