Once again chillin' at the Fontana Library 📖 at Fontana California checkin' out some Fightcade Matches for Street Fighter III 3rd Strike and Mortal Kombat Gold. Both uploaded by ArcadeSenseiLive and Fightcade Top Players respectively on YouTube.

Now keep in mind this isn't to put down Street Fighter. This is to show folks that there are Fighting Games that predate Street Fighter especially in the Gameplay Mechanics. So the "Street Fighter Clone" statement needs to be thrown out the window for good.

You also got the 1976 Heavyweight Champ created by Sega in 1976 and Warrior created by Vectorbeam in 1979.

You also got Star And Fan from Yie Ar Kung Fu that also predate Chun Li.

Street Fighter wasn't the first to introduce Female Characters to Fighting Games either. The 1985 Arcade Onna Sanshirō Typhoon Gal (Onna Sanshirou Typhoon Gal) did it first and it also introduced Grappling and Throws to Fighting Games as well.

Street Fighter didn't invent the Combo System either. The Combo System was introduced to Fighting Games in the 1985 Arcade Fighting Game Hokuha Syourin Hiryū No Ken aka Shanghai Kid. It also introduced the ability to perform Special Moves.

I find the whole "Street Fighter Clone" thing hilarious cause Street Fighter ain't original and didn't invent the Fighting Game Genre. The First Street Fighter Game from 1987 is a "Rip Off" of the 80s Fighting Games that predate it Karate Champ, Yie Ar Kung Fu and Punch-Out.
