Yo guys! The beta for my game is now ready :D if you are interested, check out this post: gameliberty.club/@aftermidnigh

I've been working on this game for nearly 9 years now. Myself and so many other people have put a lot of work into it. I can't believe it's finally at this point and I really hope you'll check it out :) it even has some Fediverse representation, with @Mr_NutterButter making the company logo that appears right when you open the game and @matana contributing the cover art and a couple of extra assets.

If you like classic RPGs with vast worlds, turn-based combat, and fun characters then you will love this. The easiest way to describe it is Dragon Quest meets Elder Scrolls.

so this has been soft confirmed true. CEO of the team that made space marine 2 commenting on an asmongold video. i really hope gaming is actually healing. we need more people like this and daniel vavra.

The game does look really good too, I have to say. Still some funny problems with foliage pop-in, but other than that it's super solid.

playing sonic all stars racing transformed when all the sudden my sound cuts out, my vehicle disappears, and i start falling through the map :meru_monkaS:

for such a beautiful song it is a shame that there are so few beautiful covers of it. i don't like the original military march sounding version. (not me btw)

just paid $300 for this, will be here in 1-3 weeks and i'll post pics when i get it  it's a 1/4 scale! 15 inches tall, or 38cm.

i think the last time i spent this much money on ANYTHING was when i first built my PC for my graphics card back in like 2016 lol. i'm a little frugal so spending this much hurts but i'll be okay xD

Chrono Trigger is such a conflicting game for me. I really do not like the gameplay itself. Well, not so much that I don't like it, more that I just couldn't get into it at all. However, the story, the art, and the audio are all so good. Not even just for the time, but period. I like the *experience* of Chrono Trigger more than the *game* Chrono Trigger, if that makes sense.

"Metal: Hellsinger" Review (8.5/10)

Although Metal: Hellsinger isn't mechanically deep enough to satisfy either an FPS gamer or a rhythm gamer, if you like BOTH genres you'll really have a fun time playing it. The music is stellar, the movement is smooth, and the action is fun. When you're on beat, the flow state is incredible. If you don't like both genres, there's a good chance you won't be super into this one.

Difficulty is pretty well balanced, although for the most part there aren't any enemy remixes like you'd find in something like Devil May Cry. Usually, the enemies are just a little bit stronger and do a little bit more damage, but honestly the difference between the easiest and the hardest (unlockable) difficulty isn't very big.

The story isn't anything to write home about, but it's not bad. It takes a bit more of a back seat compared to the gameplay and I think that's probably the right choice. It's good that it's there, but it's not the main selling point.

One major point of criticism I have with the game is that the boss fight for each level (which are called Hells) is the exact design and requires the exact same strategy to beat. The only difference is the projectiles that are thrown at you and what types of minions the boss spawns. The final boss is quite different, but that's really it. I wish they would have put a little bit more effort in making each boss fight a bit more unique, with different designs and strategies on how to overcome them. Maybe even every other level having a unique boss would have been fine, but it does get pretty samey after the third time fighting the same boss.

The final boss music, featuring Serj Tankian of System of a Down renown, is also just not really that great. You play through the whole game listening to these awesome screaming and growling vocals, and then the final boss music which should be the most hardcore of them all is Serj doing his thing, being super weird, which is normally fine but here it just does not work at all.

Other than those two points though, I really enjoyed the game! Enough to get all of the achievements, in fact, which can't be said of many games for me. You can easily get that done under 7 hours, so the game isn't particularly long either, but you'll have a lot of fun playing it if you like rhythm and FPS games, particularly DOOM 2016/Eternal.
