Maybe it's cool for people who are really into the lore and the world and everything, but at that point just read the book instead.

I watched the movie Hunger Games: Songbird and Snakes or whatever the fuck it was called a few nights ago. It was not that great. Extremely predictable. Pretty much the only good actor in the whole movie was the guy who played Snow. I hadn't ever seen Rachel Zegler act before and I know why people don't like her now. Her character was extremely unconvincing. Also it was way too long man, we don't need a three hour movie for a hunger games movie. I wish they would have just cut it off before the whole peacekeeper thing because hunger games kind of sucks when it isn't directly about the hunger games, not gonna lie.

@xianc78 @pettanko oh, in one of his recent videos he did bring back the "I've not seen such bravery" intro and I got a massive dopamine hit from that xD

@xianc78 @pettanko yeah he mostly does like food and movie reviews now, but his editing style is so fucking hilarious to me.

@xianc78 @pettanko I like his videos a lot for the most part, tbh I couldn't care less what someone believes or how they act outside of the media they produce but once it starts seeping in to that, especially if it's just cringe as fuck, that's when I'm disappointed.

This is why I like brutalmoose a lot too, the dude is gay and has a boyfriend but he never brings it up because it isn't the fucking point. Like, if you want to be treated like a normal person, you should act like a normal fucking person.

Beard looks amazing today, I finally got it to stop curling in for once! Just gotta trim it up a little bit now. I'm in that weird awkward stage where it isn't quite long yet but it's definitely not short either.

@xianc78 that Carmack was a prick because he dead named Burger Becky as Bill when talking about when she was still a dude (which is when they interacted the most) and used "they" as a pronoun instead of "her." then he went on to joke about how he dead names X as "Twitter" and that Elon Musk is also a prick and he doesn't respect him or his platform.

@YeetLibs @Shlomo I wonder how much of this stuff is just recent happenings and how much of it has been happening since forever but there is just much wider access to beta builds of windows now that they would have tested internally back in the day but now just basically crowdsource it. I also wonder, at what point is windows going to truly need to move on and cut some backwards compatibility and legacy code out? Maybe it's beginning to be a little bit like the Bethesda problem where their engine is crusty as fuck because it is just extra features bolted on top of an ancient engine.

@YeetLibs I had a massive issue with the windows file explorer a little while ago because I used it to change the metadata of a flac file with Japanese characters in the title field. It slowed it to a crawl for whatever reason. Got fixed when I wiped the metadata with mp3tag. It's a shame there aren't any file managers for windows that don't come with downsides that make it not worth swapping. I how there are a decent amount of people who swear by total commander but it costs like $50 or something. It's also just, not my thing. I actually really like dolphin a lot but it sucks on windows.

the type of person that will complain about games just not being the same as they used to while all the people who made those games so fuckin great get pushed out of the industry because they aren't in absolute lockstep with the progressive hivemind.
