@bungabeats @ArdanianRight Eastern European EU countries have anti-hate speech laws too, and even legal enforcement of it, but no social consequences. Like, even if you were a Romanian who got fined for calling gypsies subhuman trash I can't imagine that affecting your jobs prospects, let alone any of your neighbors or community members giving you shit for it, quite the contrary.
