Guns aren't protecting freedom if the US is no longer a democracy and is a police state.

If there is another Columbine or Las
Vegas shooting, guns will be banned.

Once the stock market crashes, the elites will use a real crisis or a false flag like Russia or Ebola to get Americans to go to the concentration camps willingly.

True, still, Orwell was highly critical of the totalitarian regimes that all socialist countries became. One famous quote: "Socialists dont like the poor working class as much as they hate the rich." (quoted out of my memory, could be different, but still the meaning is the same)
