In the months leading up to the 2016 election I had been predicting a Trump win based on a particular theory which I believe still holds true today – namely the theory that the global banking elites in power were allowing so-called “populist” movements in the US and Europe to gain political traction near the very end of the decade long “Everything Bubble”. Once populist groups were entrenched and feeling overconfident, the cabal would then tighten liquidity into existing economic weakness and crash the system on their heads. Populists would get the blame for an economic disaster that the central banks had engineered many years in advance.

Young people are taught to love immorality, welfare, war, debt, and tyranny and become outraged when an old person says morality, personal responsibility , peace, balanced budgets, and freedom are better.

The US is now a police state where everything is illegal and Americans have no rights.

The 1% could confiscate guns and order Americans to go to the concentration camps tomorrow, but the ruling class do not have the manpower and the camps have not built yet.

The elites seem to prefer to slowly kill every possible bit of freedom. Yesterday bump stocks were banned, today silencers will be banned, and pistols will be outlawed tomorrow.

Not only are the ruling powers determined to kill off the 99%, Americans are embracing their slavery with glee.

The media screams the USA must bomb Iran and Americans clap with delight.

The elites say debt doesn't matter and Americans agree.

Trump could decree that every American get their thumbs chopped off with machetes and Americans would jump with joy.

Have Americans ever read a history book?

Americans today could either be a zombie and willing accomplice to US wars, debt, and tyranny and remain silent, attack the government, or look for a way to escape.

What kind of life do you have now when you must lie to your wife about your plans because you're afraid the NSA will hear you on her mobile phone?

Americans need to go hardcore about resisting the police state now.

Use gold, cash, and barter.

Avoid taxes.

Research buying a boat, submarine, or an island.

Try to avoid security cameras, license plate readers, and redlight cameras.

Americans really should try to live like the Amish or a primitive tribe in the Amazon or Vietnam.

Once you have a SSN and a name and the government has your fingerprints and DNA, the elites know who to look for when they launch their final solution against the 99%.

Do you think the ruling class will be able kick the debt can down the road for another 2, 5, 10, or 30 years?

@dcjogger The article is good, but the thread that followed is like bloody youtube comment sectionâ¦

@dcjogger Happy Birthday. I am only a few years younger, and I certainly did not see any of this coming. Yet, I think Trump's tweets are a nice anodyne to the twisted press, and he keeps them hopping. He is better at raising issues and exposing the corruption than anyone else I can think of.

I too opposed the VN war, and all wars, but never thought the military/industrial complex would be so successful that they would sell their evil to be used so many places, while controlling many in congress and government. Very little of what passes for gov't makes sense these days, and the corruption is festering into the very health of the nation.

Our bloated and diseased gov't bureaucratic structures need to be dismantled until we get back to the primary purpose of gov't, and then that needs to be closely examined to determine what we can further reduce. Let the clerks and other bureaucrats go on welfare, for all I care. They have no marketable skills for the free market. They are minions of the predators, tax collectors, and abusers of their office. Any honest person would run from gov't employment, at all levels.

I think we are seeing the protests that could be expected from victims of gov't schools: they are not taught critical thinking or self-responsibility.
What are you doing to change things? At 75, you have time to make a difference. To know and not to act is not to know. Consider this a kind challenge. *<twinkles>*

As I turn 75, there’s no simpler way to put it than this: I’m an old man on a new planet — and, in case it isn’t instantly obvious, that’s not good news on either score.

And I find myself looking at a world that, had you described it to me in the worst moments of the Vietnam War years when I was regularly in the streets protesting, I would never have believed possible. I probably would have thought you stark raving mad. Here I am in an America not just with all the weirdness of Donald Trump, but with a media that feeds on his every bizarre word, tweet, and act as if nothing else were happening on the face of the Earth.

If you had told me that, in the next century, we would be fighting unending wars from Afghanistan to Somalia and beyond I would have been shocked. If you had added that, though even veterans of those wars largely believe they shouldn’t have been fought, just about no one would be out in the streets protesting, I would have thought you were nuts.
