If you say you need the state to give you money then the government can tell you what to eat, what to do, what to think, and what to wear.
Commies love to promise to give everyone free money, free food, free college, free healthcare, free phones, and free houses. Welfare needs to be paid for by stealing money from taxpayers, but since people don't like theft, more police officers are needed to steal tax money.
Nazis think that they can take the moral high ground, but then Fascists turn around and scream that they need the Gestapo to protect them from scary homosexuals, junkies, blacks, Muslims, Jews, free trade, and illegal immigrants.

@dcjogger Much of what is broken is minarchist or at least individual-respecting government. Authoritarian government is fortified and getting stronger by the day. Breaking money as a means of exchange of value prevents lower classes from acquiring appreciating assets. This brokenness of money or simple devaluing used to only impact the lowest classes, but as money has been worth less and less, and has now gone negative, higher classes below the elites are affected as they lose assets. The dollar is a credit card. But it is not your credit card, it is someone elseâs who wants you to depend on it.

Some Americans think the US problems could be solved by ending the wars, debt, and tyranny, but then Patriots realize how far gone the US is when Americans disagree.

The slow collapse of the USA seems to be accelerating. The US debt, wars, torture, Patriot Act, TSA groping, NDAA indefinite detention, NSA wiretapping, checkpoints, torture, kill lists, and bailouts cannot lead to a happy ending.
The US seems to be waiting for a spark like 1861, 1917, or 1929 that will kickstart a collapse that will lead to a rebirth instead of just having this slow decline.

The US feels like it is committing suicide.
The elites control Wall Street, Hollywood, the media, and the government.
Globalists wanting to destroy the USA with wars, welfare, debt, illegal immigrants, and tyranny is one thing, but Americans who just accept this are another.
What if every conversation, book, movie, news story, bumper sticker, website, and song was about the collapse?
Would Americans wake up, protest, prepare, buy guns, and gold and resist or would Americans just become jaded and do nothing?
