While the USA is headed for a collapse, maybe the 99% should unite and fight the elites who are the real enemy instead of each other.
If Americans cannot be on the same page then why doesn't the USA break up into 2 or 3 separate countries or why don't all 50 states secede from Washington, DC?

The first US Civil War was a pretty black and white issue. The South supported slavery and the North didn't.
Civil War 2.0 wouldn't be so clear-cut.
What would you do if you were Spanish during the Spanish Civil War or Chinese during the Chinese Civil War? Would you pick a side or leave?
The advantage of leaving the US now is that you might stay alive temporarily, but the danger of leaving the USA and not fighting is that Libertarians who flee to live in the Amazon, Siberia, or on a sailboat risk finding that tyranny might finally chase them down.

@dcjogger right now the problem is less about "big govt" than it is about out of control government giving away american resources and tax dollars to wealthy elites and foreign powers at the expense of the american people. if "big govt" actually spent the tax money on america, we wouldnt be in this situation right now. at heart, i, too, am libertarian. but, frankly, im not sure that is going to work right now, shy of abolishing the federal government completely and starting over with nothing but the constitution.

In theory, the $22 trillion US debt could be paid off in 6 years if 100% of US tax revenues from the $4 trillion annual budget went toward the debt and Social Security was ended.
This will not happen because the elites have paid off the politicians and too many people make money from welfare and the wars.
The only end to the debt will be a a total collapse of the economy like the USSR.
No one knows, but a stock market crash could happen in the next 10 years. Social Security will be bankrupt in 2034.
Leaving now would be the best bet.
Consider moving to Chile or New Zealand.

I read a post a few minutes ago with that theme and was gonna comment but it would have fallen on the ears of someone who prays to authority no matter how illegitimate that authority is..

Perhaps the fact that we have seen millions voting themselves into complete dependence on a tyrant has made our generation understand that to choose one's government is not necessarily to secure freedom.

Regardless of how you feel about specific drugs, the reality of self-ownership means we all have a right to use them (any of them that we choose provided we can afford them).
And that doesn't mean you can't advocate people avoid drugs. Educate, don't legislate!
For me: there are 5 or so drugs that I want to use (many quite irregularly) and I'm curious if you'd put me in a cage for choosing a lifestyle you don't personally want for yourself.
If we don't believe in freedom of expression for people we despise, we don't believe in it at all.
