Mad that the new #BlueProtocol class, Beat Performer, actually looks good lmao

I uninstalled the JP server long ago and I'm too lazy to reinstall plus I would be so far behind. If they had this class at launch and not the boring generic range ones, it would have made a huge difference for me.

My personal thoughts on this:

Of course I will completely drop Blue Protocol over this. I can't even make my characters in the Western version and I won't risk spending money on my JP account and then getting banned at some other time for being a Westerner. It also doesn't seem feasible to convince my group of friends to play on the JP server. The removal of the S body type is not something that mods can fix. If it's removed during character creation, you just flat out can't make it in the game.
My main character that I was using is not even anything the censorship defenders would deem justifiable for the removal, since they seem to only focus on "Oh, you're angry you can't play a little girl anymore!"

My brother in Christ, my character is an adult and he just has a slim body type. He is also the tallest height for males of the S type and I picked it because it allows me to be slim. These people seem to think in black and white, only.

So where do I go after this? Well, if you want a game that doesn't censor and also has way better action combat than #BlueProtocol, you are welcome to come try Blade & Soul. The game isn't anywhere near perfect but we just got a new bunny suit outfit that is available for EVERYONE, even the small race. I may do a thread at some point for people looking to try BnS and may get back into doing videos for it. I have my gripes with BnS too but at least the developers aren't incompetent enough to censor a game that is already struggling. I've been on BnS for 7 years now, playing at the highest level for endgame, so I could probably answer any question anyone has without bullshit copium most supporters of this game are on.

Well. In the latest shit show that is #BlueProtocol , the #censorship for the West release is a lot worse than anticipated and Amazon is doubling down massively. To keep things short, Amazon has removed the smallest body type from the game and in a bizarre puritan panic, removed "jiggle" physics that are basically only present in character creation. They cited in an interview that jiggle physics can make Western audiences "uncomfortable". Do these people at Amazon go outside AT ALL, I wonder? Yes, breasts DO IN FACT MOVE AROUND EVEN IN REAL LIFE. lol

This is absolutely ridiculous for a company that wants the game to be "inclusive" yet removes the petite body type. There is no good reason to ever do this and their bullshit excuse that they want to keep the Teen rating falls flat when you look at their competitors, FF14 and WoW. Both these games are rated Teen and feature suggestive content.

There's also changes to the menu that has the character's underwear, which seems to be just flat out also removed from the game. It's very bizarre, honestly. Do these people at Amazon also not wear underwear or something? :kekw:

This Twitter thread by Zakogdo has further information regarding that:

We have yet to get hit with a ban from Bandai. Got another 12 hours in of #BlueProtocol with my friend. If we don't get nuked, we'll try to hit level 50, which is the max level.

Unfortunately, Bandai seems to want to kill the game from their own stupidity and lack of care when issuing these bans. Even native Japanese players are getting hit with bans along with foreign players. This is being talked about in a Japanese forum and I have now seen several reports of Japanese players on Twitter getting banned even without using a VPN.

This person I found was a really sad case because they put in 30 hours and got shafted. Now they will just go back to FF14. Instead of keeping people coming from their biggest competitor, they're annihilating their reputation and player trust in the native country the game was made for.

This is really tragic to see for such an anticipated MMO. Bandai should undo all bans after this colossal fuck up or carefully review tickets sent in by Japanese players who got hit. I saw a ticket response that looked like it was replied using a bot and didn't offer the player any help. It was never worth it to ban some gaijins if so much of the native playerbase gets caught in the cross fire due to sheer incompetence when the ban wave was green lit. If Bandai doesn't issue a public apology about this and rectify it, I personally don't see the game recovering after this in Japan. If they're so trigger happy with the bans, people are not going to spend because they may just get banned the next wave.

Had to edit and repost this to correct the statement about the gacha. There is a way to get the outfits in the gacha via something called BP Points. You can salvage stuff you don't want from the gacha into BP Points. However, the chance of getting the fancy outfits from through the gacha is still less than 1%.

Right before the weekend, Bandai has done a ban wave in #BlueProtocol hitting players who are playing outside of Japan or using VPNs. The Spanish guy I have been watching cover info about the game got banned on stream today and many of the people in his Discord server also got hit on the 16th. He stated he had actually been playing without a VPN most of the time but those in his servers using the free Urban VPN got hit. I'm unsure if any other VPNs got hit.

Both me and him aren't personally mad about this. We knew it was coming, as Bandai ToS says it's for the Japanese public only, and I anticipated the ban wave as well since they likely wanted to reduce server load for the Japanese player base right before the weekend so the experience is better for them. I haven't felt any bad lag or even disconnects after the rocky first day, at least.

I also personally haven't been banned yet and neither has my friend. But we may get banned soon. We took a break after playing close to 12 hours today. I also streamed for 7 hours.

The latest vod for today has footage of a 40 man raid and the gigantic boss, which was buttery smooth and I was getting 40-50 fps on max settings during it while also streaming. The optimization for an MMO made with Unreal Engine 4 is honestly impressive.

Despite how tedious and difficult it is to play even with a translator due to everything mostly being viewable within menus and me having basically no short term memory, we have over 30 hours now and reached around level 18 and obtained a mount today. For native players, they can breeze through a lot faster though I didn't see anyone today at the level 40 raid boss portal.

The gameplay is solid and the progression even at these early levels feels so rewarding. It's not perfect and I feel combat elements need adjustments but I'll gather my thoughts more about it in the following days. I think it's been overhyped as "the MMO savior" and I just don't think it is. I haven't personally seen how reasonable the BP Points store is when it comes to getting the currency. But it is still extremely fun if you want actual enjoyment in this cursed genre full of garbage P2W MMOs.

If you're planning on playing #BlueProtocol on the Japanese servers, you may have a lot of questions, such as "Do you need a VPN to play?" Here are the answers: mmorpg.com/editorials/do-you-n

Here we go frens. I have been able to get into the JP servers. It's really late now in JP so the server is allowing more people in.

I played a bit earlier on stream too. It's gonna be a slow stream since I'm translating most of the time.

Combat feels really smooth so far despite me playing with high ping.

The official Twitter gave a notice an hour ago that they are extending the maintenance of the game and website, so the launch is delayed.

Which also means the stream I planned is delayed. lol

Not sure when they are going to get the game going. If it gets really late, I may stream it sometime during Wednesday at this point.

Assuming I can even get into the Japanese servers tomorrow, I will be streaming #BlueProtocol 's launch day on Tuesday at around 11pm EST on Pomf. :pepeOk:

pomf.tv/stream/Veru

One of my good frens from my Blade & Soul ranking static is also joining me. I'm going into the game mostly blind and expecting the launch to be rocky with queues and disconnects, as I have yet to play an MMO that had a smooth launch in all my 20 years into the genre. I'll try to start the stream when I'm finally able to login!

I'll be going with Heavy Smasher, as this unique class caught my attention from the start and it has off tanking capabilities. I either play tank or range in MMOs.

We are aiming to get as much game time until we either get shitcanned by Bandai during maintenance or the language barrier becomes too heavy to bypass. We are mostly interested in seeing how the action combat performs and will hopefully pick the game back up whenever Amazon stops being busy sucking cocks and releases the global version.
