even #firefox is trying to shove translations down my throat, had to go to about:config to disable translation popups. stop autotranslating things!!! not everyone is like the Anglophones, people like looking at foreign languages!!! if I need a translation for anything I'll translate it myself!!!

I use #pass on command line and browser pass web extention with #Firefox (don't work with librewolf yet or will not work with chromium). The web extention can auto fill for Federal Bank which also restrict right click and copy paste. This works on #FLX1 too. I use Firefox only for this, but use gnome web mostly and sometimes LibreWolf.

This post explains why and how Kaushik Gopal uses Firefox and provides some handy tips.

He recommends enabling the AdGuard filters in the uBlock Origin settings but the extension flags all of them as out of date. Any issues with these filters?

Help people in censored countries bypass censorship by installing the Snowflake addon from @torproject

Whether you are running #Firefox, #Chrome, or one of the many other browser flavours (#Waterfox, #Edge, #Brave, #Vivaldi, etc.); once you install Snowflake, there's nothing else you need to do.

Then people can use your internet connection as a launchpad to the #Tor network. Clever stuff.

Today I learned through this blog post that Firefox has:

- A ' binding that will search only links
- The ability to override websites which disable right click by holding Shift

Arch Linux AUR malware alert : 3 packages (`librewolf-fix-bin`, `firefox-patch-bin`, `zen-browser-patched-bin`) were found with a Remote Access Trojan.
They’re now removed—uninstall if affected and check for compromise.

Malware came via a GitHub script. AUR is powerful but unvetted—inspect packages carefully.

Markdown Here is a handy open source browser extension for inserting and rendering Markdown in email or rich text fields. Just type Markdown code and click the extension's button (or press Shift-Ctrl-M) to format the text. It also supports code blocks, tables, and math (via an external service).

Tip: to switch back to edit mode after formatting press the button or keys again.

Hey #Firefox hackers! My credit card issuer, Chase, does something funky where its page won't load unless it's in the focused tab:

A neat #webdev trick I really need to use more is #Firefox USB debugging + `scrcpy` to debug a website on a Android phone.

How should we ship Firefox next release?

We're working on Drauger OS 7.8 right now, and we wanted to know how the community feels. Should we ship #Firefox ESR as a native package, or normal @firefox as a #flatpak?

We won't ship normal Firefox as a native package, as that would require some complicated packaging mechanics to allow. And, we can't ship Firefox as a snap as, with the way we build our ISOs, we cannot ship snaps.

So, thoughts? What would you prefer? Vote and discuss below!

How do you keep browser settings synchronized across multiple computers? I use #ZenBrowser (based on #Firefox) but if you have something good for different browsers, please do tell.

I use the built-in Sync feature to synchronize bookmarks, history and so on, but I want something more. All of my about:config, themes, toolbar layouts, and everything.

I was thinking about some #Ansible module, or about starting to use #Nix just for my browser, or maybe #syncthing .

Please share your experiences.
