Heute war ich das erste Mal Blut spenden!Das heißt auch, dass ich heute endlich die Fragen, die ich zum trans bzw. nichtbinär-Sein, zu ADHS-Medikamenten und zur Hormontherapie in Zusammenhang mit Blutspenden hatte, beantworten konnte:

Geschlecht und HRT

Frauen können hier vier-, Männer sechsmal im Jahr Blut spenden.
Weil ich amtlich 'divers' und seit Jahren auf einer Hormonersatztherapie bin, wussten die Leute bei der Blutspende erstmal nichts mit mir anzufangen.

Die haben sich aber jedenfalls an meiner statt über die veralteten Systeme und Protokolle aufgeregt – die ganzen Computer waren noch auf Windows XP oder noch älter, und die Software hatte halt nur 'männlich' und 'weiblich' als Optionen.

Am Ende haben sie sich darauf geeinigt, dass ich wegen meiner Langzeit-Hormontherapie tendenziell eher 'biologisch weiblich' als 'biologisch männlich' sei, und dass sie mich einfach als weiblich führen würden.

[Das fand' ich ein bisschen lustig. Ich kann mir nur vorstellen, wie transphobe Leute darauf reagieren würden, dass ich von medizinischem Fachpersonal als biologisch/körperlich weiblich eingestuft wurde.]

Die Hormontherapie war übrigens auch absolut kein Problem. Ich hatte ursprünglich sogar die 'Transsexualität' als Vorerkrankung eingetragen, weil es ja eine Diagnose war, aber da hat mir der Arzt gesagt, das solle ich nicht machen, weil trans zu sein keine Krankheit sondern einfach ein Zustand sei. Fand ich süß.

ADHS-Medikamente

Das Lisdexamfetamin (Elvanse) war ebenfalls absolut kein Problem. Die haben sich viel eher für blutverändernde Medikamente wie z. B. Blutverdünner und für sowas wie illegale Drogen interessiert.

Die wollen Risiken minimieren; Leute die illegale Drogen nehmen haben im Vergleich zu Rezeptpatient:innen halt tendenziell ein größeres Risiko, unsaubere Spritzen zu verwenden, oder auch einfach unbekannte oder gefährliche Substanzen genommen zu haben, wenn z. B. deren Drogen gestreckt wurden.

Dasselbe mit Sexualität: seit 2023 fragen die nicht mehr nach der Orientierung. Ich 'durfte' bis zu zwei Sexualpartner:innen in den letzten vier Monaten gehabt haben (oder bis zu einer/einem im Bereich Analverkehr), und das war es eigentlich. Es wurden keine Fragen zur Orientierung gestellt.

Long story short there's a possibility that I end up in #Malaysia in a couple of years.

My problem:
Can I get testosterone and even maybe #trans care at a private clinic?
I know public hospitals are out of the question.

Also I haven't legally changed my gender so I don't know if "as a woman" I can get #testosterone for "menopause issues"?

Boost won't change your life but it will help mine and in a world full of transphobes it does make a difference.
