@wiktor I understand the concern about bad fallback on the web. I just wish people would be a bit more pragmatic about it and at least add support for reading / opening such URIs. Nobody suggested replace all Follow buttons with web+activitypub: links.

Can we have support for FEP-07d7 in #Tusky and #Fedilab? (cc @Tusky @apps)

It shouldn’t be that hard to implement at least one of the possible URI schemes in #Conversations_im, #Lttrs, #Tusky and #Fedilab. Maybe get @delta on board too?

Is there any #ActivityPub / #Mastodon URI scheme used in the wild that would allow me to open an ActivityPub account directly in my Android app?

I've seen 'acct' and 'web+ap' mentioned but none seem to be implemented.

The goal is that given a text of "Here is my Mastodon profile acct:daniel@gultsch.social" #Conversations_im can link that directly into #Tusky. (Just like mailto and xmpp URIs open my E-Mail or IM app respectively)

Have @apps or @Tusky considered that? If not why not?

Leena Simon: Wenn man mit Social Media das meint, was wir alle kennen, nämlich dass private Milliardäre und Tech-Bros unsere Kommunikation organisieren und das nicht mit der Frage verbinden, wie Kommunikation gut für alle und für die Demokratie sein kann, dann: nein. Das ist nicht zu retten. Es war von Anfang an ein schlechtes System, nur darauf ausgelegt, Profit zu machen. Und nun trägt es auch noch dazu bei, unsere Demokratie zu zerlegen. (...)

taz: Das heißt, wenn wir Hass und Hetze und die ganzen anderen problematischen Aspekte der Plattform abschaffen wollen, müssen wir gleich den Kapitalismus abschaffen.

Simon: Nein, notwendig ist das nicht. Es reicht fürs Erste, wenn wir dafür sorgen, dass unsere Kommunikation nicht mehr nach kapitalistischen Gesichtspunkten gestaltet wird, sondern nach der Frage: Was nützt den Menschen, was zaubert das Gute aus uns raus? (...) Das ist der Schlüssel. Und es ist ja nicht so, als gäbe es keine Alternativen. Mit dem Fediverse gibt es eine gute, offene Alternative zu den kommerziellen Plattformen von X bis Instagram."

In der Print-Ausgabe werden dann auch noch unter "Das können die Alternativen" nicht nur Mastodon, sondern auch #Pixelfed , #Peertube sowie @signalapp und @threemaapp vorgestellt und auch Friendica ("eher vergleichbar mit Facebook"), Pleroma , Diaspora und @Tusky erwähnt (online finde ich derzeit nur den Abschnitt zu Kurznachrichtendienste)

I was looking to Mute a single user via #Tusky and managed to accidentally block the entirety of mastodon.social

Bye bye to 240 of my followers, I guess. Damn. Sorry.

Next week at work is "Fix, Hack, Learn" week, where we get a whole week to pretty much work on whatever we want.

So, I'm thinking of using my week to do two things:

1) Create a set of posters to promote @Mastodon

2) Contribute in some way to @Tusky - either creating a set of Figma files and making some suggestions to tidy up the design of the app, or see if i can suggest solutions to some open tickets on GitHub.

Nutze den Mastodon Client #tusky jetzt schon eine Weile, bin ganz zufrieden. Welche Clients benutzt ihr denn?

Twice now, #tusky has dumped my long post. Blackholing it.

The screen suddenly slides to the right, and my laboriously typed text disappears.

Happens after about half a page of text.

I'm starting to think it's #mastodon self defence against my drivel.

I tried to replicate it to no avail.
Sad.

which #android #client for #mastodon youd recommend? #tusky doesnt seem to be featuring global federated stream - unless im blind...

Update on #Friendica access on #mobile: I got it to work with #Pipilo on #iOS and #Tusky on #Android, so I'm all set there. Not sure why it wouldn't work with #Metatext, but I've got *something* that works, so I'm satisfied. And it works OK with #Tweesecake on #PC, too.
