I recommend installing LibreELEC, and then the TVNZ+ addon. It should pull the dependencies with Widevine by itself, I believe. Sources are on GitHub repos, I believe (not Widevine, though, which is somehow extracted from Chrome or so.

Good to know, thanks. About time I had another crack at using Kodi.

This one?

Do you know if full source code is available?
One would assume that since #Google #Chrome is so ubiquitous, it has the best browser experience, or at least is the most convenient browser to use. Not so! #Firefox has three big (IMHO) improvements over #Chrome that I always miss everytime I use #Chrome or something #Chrome based (I don't actually use #Firefox, but #Waterfox, on my home computer):
1. Full-screen tab management. In #Chrome, when you're in full screen, you can't switch tabs unless you use the Ctrl+[tab number] shortcut. In #Firefox though, you can just move your mouse to the top of the screen, and all the tabs will show up and the top and you can just click the one you want to use.
2. PiP. I don't know how the heck #Chrome doesn't have a proper PiP implementation, but #Firefox has PiP for literally any video you play in the browser, while #Chrome doesn't.
3. #DRM doesn't really work in #Firefox. This is mostly due to #Firefox's janky implementation of #Widevine, but #DRM protection in #Firefox never works as intended, making it the perfect browser for doing watch parties while screen sharing, unlike #Chrome, which makes all protected video show up blank whenever you try to capture the screen.
FINALLY!
Went back to #YUMI
Realized that this computer is old so maybe I should install an old distro
Got an old copy of #Lubuntu
It’s working like a charm now
It’s even running #Twitch better than my main laptop does
The only downsides are that #Widevine isn’t installing correctly in #Firefox so I won’t be able to look at #DRM content (not the worst thing in the world since I’m migrating towards #PLEX) and that the start button isn’t mapped to the menu icon yet
Imma do a stress test (basically play a 24/7 live video feed and see if it chokes and if it passes I’ll be installing it tomorrow!
Has anyone gotten #widevine working on the #Pinephone / #Pinephonepro? Yes, I know it's evil #DRM, but I'm curious to see if the #Pinephonepro can be adapted for my kids usage. Mostly they just browse the web and watch YouTube and #Netflix, so if I can get Netflix up and working, I can get them off their far more surveillance heavy phones bought by their other parent.
I see that people successfully got widevine working on the #Pinebookpro, which sounds like it uses #Linux on a similar processor
Hey #schwarmintelligenz :
Will meinen #Odroid C2 (#kodi #Mediacenter) ersetzen. Kriegt ja keine #coreelec Updates mehr.
BananaPi M5 wäre quasi nochmal dasselbe.
Ist #androidtv evtl. stressfreier?

Assuming you've disabled WebAssembly. You may notice interesting things after you disable the running of pre-compiled sent direct to your browser. *wink*
@josias Does #DRM really work on #Firefox? #Google #Chrome’s #DRM implementation prevents me and my friends from watching stuff on #Zoom via screen sharing, but #Firefox always works. IIRC the reason for this is because #Widevine is copyrighted or something, preventing it from being included in #Firefox
