Supraland: Six Inches Under - #FPS-#Metroidvania with very strong #Portal vibes, clever puzzles in a fun setting. It's a rare game that I want to return to and complete 100%.

Last year, my GOTY (indie and in general) was #DeadCells - the game was released in 2018, but I only started this game after The Queen and the Sea DLC was released, and I played about 100 hours straight as well. But there were also 4 very strong #indie contenders:

As you may have noticed, about 70% of the games on my list are #indie. The quality of indie games has improved significantly over the last decade. Five years ago you had to search for good indies, now it's hard to choose what to play first. 3 main drivers for indie games: #Steam, #NintendoSwitch, #Gamepass. You may laugh, but #BaldursGate3 is also an indie game. It was even released on #Xbox under #IDXbox.

BTW, I haven't tried #BaldursGate3 yet. I put it off until next year, we are going to do a team building event with my colleagues by playing this game, not sure if my company wants to pay for it :)

#HogwartsLegacy is also very close to my #GOTY. I just started it (it's my current Christmas holiday game) but it looks very promising. The gameplay reminds me of the Batman Arkham series minus stealing plus crafting/building. People who say it's just a simple fan service game aren't being fair, it's much more complicated than that and could be interesting even for players who aren't much into the #HarryPotter universe.

My personal #GOTY is undoubtedly #Starfield. There are not many games out there that can hold my attention for 100 hours straight. Almost all of those hours were spent in September. I would have probably spent more hours than that, but I got a new project to manage at work and started playing it. I'll return to the game after a while, hopefully soon, when #Bethesda implements FRS3 and mod support.

Jag har spelat om Stardew Valley som mitt casual-spel de senaste månaderna men jag började tröttna lite. Så igår startade jag Coral Island som finns på gamepass. Hittills några dagar in i spelet känns det.. väldigt mycket som en SDV-klon men genren är ju lite speciell på det sättet.

Like the style and the setting of #Redfall. It reminds me of Dead Rising, State of Decay, and Dead Island - classic small towns in the USA. The gunplay, running at 60fps, looks gorgeous. However, there are a few things missing in this game that would elevate it to a higher level. For instance, it needs more weapon modifiers (similar to Borderlands), the ability to use cars and motorcycles, and crafting mechanics. #xbox #xboxseriesx #gamepass #xboxgamepass
