So the Canadian government is continuing to try to get rid of cash. Bill C-2, if passed, will make it illegal to donate $10,000 or more in cash or amounts totaling $10,000 or more in cash to any group. You can bet that they won't stop there, once they can have it set at $10,000 they can always lower it more and more and widen the scope beyond donations. I am willing to bet that donations to political candidates will be exempt, can't have the government misisng out on possible bribe sources. The JCCF has a petition for anybody wanting to sign against it. Regardless of whether you sign the petition I recommend contacting your MP and seeing where they stand on it and making sure they know that a vote hangs in the balance.

#BillC2, the so-called Strong Borders bill is a Trojan horse that contains a new law that allows the gov’t to order backdoors in the communications infrastructure you use every day. This is the part of the "border bill" you haven't heard enough about.
It includes secret government orders for government surveillance. Service providers are prohibited from disclosing vulnerabilities that bad guys could be using to illicitly access data. This deserves a LOT more attention.
