'Chillin with Amy 12 end'
She had jumped around from foster home to foster home for a bit and was deemed a problem child. She now lives with her new foster family, the Newmans. There daughter Beth has become Amy's shadow following her everywhere and dressing like her. She now attends the Academy of Saint Scholastica with her new younger foster sister.

In #blender and experimenting with a hair theory. I don't want to make hair unless the character would have the ability to be able to do a hand stand or have their hair move in any way that could have the potential to show their scalp, so while playing Wuthering Waves, I saw this new character's scalp and how things were connected, and immediately opened Blender to start messing around.
So, here's what I wanna do. (It's rough. Ignore the head, as I didn't feel like importing a vroid model, so that's not the issue.)
- Where the hair connects to the scalp disrupts the flow or something there, so it does unfortunate things with the shading. I've seen people fix that with weight painting and something something vertex not-sure-whats-its, so I'll be fine when the time comes. It'll blend seamlessly and look normal then.
- The real way I would do this instead of by extruding straight from there would be to make the hair pieces straight, and then bend them along a bezier curve, and attached them to the scalp by connecting the vertices. I don't like modelling hair with curves typically because it's been awful so far, and doesn't give me the ability to do what I want to do in case they do any hand stands or anything, so modelling hair with curves would be too messy and unfortunate for me.
- Modelling with curves also causes it to have thickness before you're ready, so if you split strands with V so you can create more detail without adding extra polygons, you have to deal with the open spaces now between the front and back, and would have to fill in everything by hand after. It's only good to add thickness when you're done modelling, and keep a version with no solidify modifier attached in case you have anything you want to do to it later.
- One thing that bothers me about video game anime hair is the way the hair lacks depth even when it has layers, and floats off of the body, so I would probably be doing less of that unless I were trying to emulate something else. I would need to see how regular anime makes this sort of thing look "natural" do figure out what 3D models lack to actually give it proper anime-feel. This is something even the best anime games lack that always makes it harder for me to stay immersed.
Anyway, that's my current working theory for now. I'm not keeping this (looks bad) but it's.... not the worst thing I've ever tried to do. It's definitely some of the hair of all time, and that's alright. I'm one step closer to understanding what the fuck I'm doing, and that'll be alright. Besides anatomy, this is basically the main thing stopping me at this point. Anatomy you can get away with not knowing with some tricks, but bad hair is just bad hair, and that's all there is to it.

Significantly cuter #blender animation I made. Turned it into a gif. Not sure why the slime isn't casting shadows on the floor, but I'm too tired to go find out why. Please send praise. I am proud of this.

Bit random, but the other day I started wondering what a shuttlecraft from a medical ship would look like, so I created this livery for the Type 6.
I'd imagine this would mainly be for transporting supplies and non-emergency situations, while larger shuttles would be used for medevac or even as mobile sickbays.
