Playing #Cuphead reminds me so much of back when I played classic #Sonic games because I have to really pay attention to my surroundings in order to win. I used to be happy to repeat levels in Sonic until I beat them, but now I find it hard and tedious, which is why I couldn't get into #SonicMania when it came out. But with Cuphead, I don't lose vigor and ragequit. Every loss makes me want to re-strategize until I can win. It's still fun to play even when I die repeatedly, but I can't explain why it feels better to play Cuphead than #ClassicSonic. Could it be the bullet hell gameplay? 
I barely touched that genre before. Maybe it's literally the art style, the eye candy making me stick around... 
I played #Cuphead over the weekend and beat a boss for the first time. 
I'm just playing for the art style, so actually making progress is satisfying but also nerve-wracking because I know it only gets harder and harder from here on out.
