Just performed surgery for the first time! ... On my cane. I have one of those canes where the tip isn't just slid onto the bottom, but is held to the bottom by the inner string of the cane. So I have to pull out the string, more like a thin rope, to a point where a metal tab holds the rope out and doesn't let it slip back into the cane, take off the old tip, push the new tip where the insertion hole in the tip has the rope inside, holding it, then push the tab back into the hole leading into the cane, then release the rope. The tip slots into the hole, and that's it. I think. I hope.

Question for my #Blind friends when did the constant contact method of #WhiteCane technique come into fashion. I could swear that during my school years when receiving the bulk of my official training it was never mentioned not one time. Thus I was just curious when it came into more wide-spread usage?
Designs are nowhere near close to final, but the The Bureau of Engraving and Printing has officially confirmed that the BEP and the Department of Treasury continue to expect the first denomination in a series of redesigned Federal Reserve notes, the $10 note, will be ready for production no later than 2026.
