I still remember my last autistic meltdown
It was on 18th birthday. Months before, my mom called me to ask, what do I wish for.
I really didn't care, so I said, Anything, just not some dumb jewelry. She asked again, so I said "some gaming mouse."
I expected a shitty mouse, but I was prepared for prety much anything. Except for the one thing I got. A neckless.
Why would she choose to give me THE SINGLE THING I SAID I DON'T WANT? If I got nothing, it would be ok. Did she really want to tell me just how little does my opinion mean to her?
