For those of y'all who don't know the Fighting Style of Pai Chan from Virtua Fighter is Mizongyi aka Mizong Louhan Quan (Maih Jung Loh Hon Kyun in Cantonese) a Style of Northern Chinese Kung Fu.
One of the most well known Practitioner of Mizong Quan/Maih Jung Kyun is Huo Yuan Jia/Fok Yuen Gap the Legendary Chinese Folk Hero and the supposed co-founder of the Chin Woo Athletic Association in Shanghai. I say supposed cause there's no evidence to prove that.
The first Martial Arts Film that feature Huo Yuan Jia Fok Yuen Gap at least in name is the 1972 Hong Kong Martial Arts Classic Fist Of Fury Starring Bruce Lee. Where Bruce Lee plays the fictional Student of Huo Yuan Jia Chen Zhen (Chan Zan/Can Zan in Cantonese).
The Film does feature Mizong Quan Maih Jung Kyun albeit briefly in the Fight against Bruce Lee and his real life Student Bob Baker (Robert Baker).
You also have the 1982 Hong Kong Kung Fu Film Legend Of A Fighter Starring Bryan Leung Kar Yan aka Beardy as Huo Yuan Jia Fok Yuen Gap. The Chinese Title is Huo Yuan Jia Fok Yuen Gap. The film features Mizong Quan Maih Jung Kyun.
There's also the 2006 Film Fearless Starring Jet Li as Huo Yuan Jia who previously played Chen Zhen Chan Zan (Can Zan) in the 1994 Fist Of Fury Remake Fist Of Legend.
These shows not only feature Huo Yuan Jia Fok Yuen Gap they also feature the Kung Fu Style he practiced in real life Mizong Quan Maih Jung Kyun.
Huo Yuan Jia Fok Yuen Gap also appeared in TV Shows starting with the 1981 Hong Kong Martial Arts TV Show Legendary Fok Starring Wong Yuen-San (Wong Yuen San) as Huo Yuan Jia Fok Yuen Gap and Bruce Leung Siu Lung as Chen Zhen Chan Zan (Can Zan).
