The reason why the Southern Hip Hop Scene took over is because of the arrogance of some of the East Coast Rappers. The Southern Hip Hop has a lot more unity than East Coast Hip Hop Scene. Also cats like P Diddy ruined the East Coast Hip Hop Scene. Which is a shame btw. Not to mention The Southern Hip Hop Scene wasn't taken as seriously durin' the Early 90s it was seen as just Booty Shakin' Music. Cats like Geto Boys, UGK, Three Six Mafia, OutKast, and others changed all the in the 90s and Early 2000s.
