Yeah, and that was and is Zot. Except Zot is far older, far more mature, and its not owned by someone who might turn out to be overly ambitious.
There is no straight path from the internet operating over the IP and the DNS to the internet that is void of them, based on blockchains and other distributed resources like IPFS.
Zot is not overly ambitious, and it anchors the resources in the legacy internet. That is far more reassuring than some Hawk Tuah track record.
