@teto @nnature XIX century post lol. Russia is dead, and this time for real. It's not XX century when they had birth rate of 5.0. The demography was already collapsing before war, now it's basically doomed with all the body bags that tried to conquer only *one* country, being currently replaced by third worlders on the scale that would make even Canadians blush. Their economy was that of Spain before war, the shallow oil reserves are drying up so realistically speaking there is no hope for them - no high tech, no competitive natural resources, labor that is neither cheap nor skilled enough to make them attractive for foreign investment. Military? They are at ~15% of post-USSR stockpile, and no economy to reach similar level of armaments any time soon - yet they still failed to take as much as quarter of Ukraine with it. Ukraine war also exposed how they have nigh 0 capability of stopping precision missiles - something that east flank is getting armed to the teeth with. Germany on the other hand is what exactly these days? Demographics aren't getting better, politics are insane in all angles, if not suicidal. Economy is in permanent recession and will remain so, as the Old Union can't keep up with debt-based economy no more. Culture is completely obliterated. Army was so neglected for decades that nothing they have is remotely impressive or in any sufficient numbers.
