but i can still have a different opinion afterwards
its better than just saying your opinion is wrong

Not something that's strictly true or false.
If I make a good point for windows that you think is true, then you agree that the point is right. And thus you now think windows is slightly better. We agree.
The reason(s) I might like windows overall and you not aren't stated and thus aren't part of the conversation. Presumably if they were, you'd think they're bad points and disagree with them
maybe something like 10 reasons why windows is better and 10 reasons why linux is better
