@projectmirai39 Incorrect. The reason minimalistic icons became mainstream was the increasing use in IoT, mobile devices, and embedded platforms.

Flat and solid colours require barely any processing power, and certainly use less RAM.

@inference @projectmirai39 How do they require less CPU and RAM? Solid colours are more compressable, but in RAM they're generally not compressed

Also doesn't make sense because they make fancy visual effects more of a thing, aswell as abstraction overhead
