@sapphire @gunfight @applejack I'll take your word for it, from my memories she was just Rainbow Dash, but less so. The same could probably be said about the rest of the CMC, but RD was never my favorite pony

@tengumatingpress @gunfight @applejack scoots got a lot more growth when she grew out of the RD fan club corner she was painted into. SB as well when she stopped wanting to be rarity.

Applebloom never really stopped being a more emotional applejack though

@tengumatingpress @gunfight @applejack the ramp up to CotLM in season 5 included a lot of character growth for them. I know they had a few really good season 4 episodes and season 5 other than the “””main””” starlight glimmer plot was a LOT of CMC shenanigans

@tengumatingpress @gunfight @applejack honestly if you JUST watch crusaders of the lost mark it’s all you need to wrap up pony as a whole. I checked out after that because that was the real end of the show in my opinion

@tengumatingpress @gunfight @applejack so the main plot of season 5 was them setting up the new twilight sparkle (starlight glimmer) since twilight couldn’t be an oblivious autistic retard as the literal princess of friendship and they really flubbed her character

@tengumatingpress @gunfight @applejack nah at the end of season 3 they made twilight the princess of friendship and then they decided that since everyone hated Alicorn twilight they’d introduce twilight but instead of being cute autistic she’s just a trixie level psychopath

@sapphire @gunfight @applejack Doesn't Trixie become a regular character at some point? Because if so literally everything about Starlight Glimmer seems redundant
