@applejack Why are you quoting the article I've read it?

They don't want his help because they've refused all foreign in person help. Poland pledged it's air force and they rejected them but would accept the planes... In WW2 the majority of soldiers had absolute minimum firearm training and could not speak the language of people from other countries they fought side by side against, so why cant we do that now?

I think what you're basically thinking about is foreign volunteer squads. You have a group of people that act as a unit that can communicate between eachother with a leader that can communicate effectively with people above them

They're at least not doing that with him because he has no experience and like they literally said (you don't know their situation better than them), they don't have time or resources to train him, even if they could get him in a squad where he can communicate effectively. This isn't lasting multiple years, there won't be time for training him to be worth anything

@applejack I think it is because the Ukrainians regard his race, and our people as inferior. It's a trait they've had since the rise of Nazi Germany, and a trait they continue to express when confronting tourists and outsiders in the country today. It's pathetic how we've all forgotten this because they're a NATO 'ally' justified only by the fact that they hold a geographically important position for NATO to stage or provoke war from further East.

People who fought on D-day, and won I should add, did not have "years of training", Canada, UK, Aus and the rest of the countries that landed on the shores of France did not have enough time or resources to train their forces but they did it anyways. This isn't a case of logistical issue, this is Ukraine being Ukraine, thinking of it's self and themselves as better than the rest of us, which is as they always have been, refusing help when it is offered, as they see the rest of us an inferior. Good luck finding evidence of Ukraine's ultranationalist leanings though because as you'd expect, the usual suspects have swept clean the internet of their political allegiances pre Russia conflict.

Also I don't know what you mean by the conflict not lasting long enough to train people, I've read in more than one place that it could last years, considering most major cities have been captured, and most of the north and eastern border stretching far inland have been secured by Russia, I don't see how Ukraine can afford to say no to anyone who is willing to pick up a gun and fight off the Russians. But they have, to the entire Polish airforce, and to 1000s of people from all across Europe who have offered to help fight in person.
