Gold is being accumulated, by the wisest among us, as a safe haven asset to buffet the expected effects of a very ugly contraction, one that is man made in every respect. The dogs in the street look worried, and so they should be.

Here is my problem with the concept of buying gold. Why would a company or person or persons selling gold except a currency that is worth less. If It was me I would say keep your cash my gold is worth more than your cash. do you have something you would like to trade of equal value? To me gold is useless I need something I can actually use other than to throw in my closet and say I have more than you.. anyone ever heard of the barter system ?
