@dcjogger Wow, unless this is sarcasm, you have really gone off the deep end now. The reasons Rome fell were because of invasions, because it took over too much territory to have to police and because it allowed too many foreigners into its midst. Mostly so they could do the work while privileged Romans did more "cerebral" things. Any of that sound familiar at all? If we made all the shit holes you mentioned "states" we would be decimated as a country even faster than we already are - the cost to pay for everything they "need" and try to keep peace between their "tribes" would be astronomical. smfh
