Took Pawoo's IP out of iptables. Pawoo responds by immediately resuming the delete-flood as if they didn't notice that FSE was unreachable for a day. They hit 193 reqs per second! At present, the majority of FSE's traffic is delete requests from Pawoo. pawoohits193.png pawooflood.png
@p I think it's the normal mastodon behavior to retry sending the activity if it couldn't reach the destination last time, I don't know the time out for that
but why so many deletes tho, someone with a really old account delete it?

Yeah, but most systems, if you are actually dropping their traffic, it doesn't pick up right away. Even absent that kind of thing, any system that talks to another system should do exponential backoff when it gets errors, especially rate-limit errors.
