@keisuke @coolboymew definitely fake, the controller it references is for plugging PS/2 devices into a USB interface, not vice-versa and there is no device on the driver chain that converts parallel to serial or USB (because such a driver does not exist) there is a db-25 to db-9 serial converter in the chain which plugs into the parallel port, but the adapter is used for converting extremely old db-25 serial ports to newer db-9 serial ports not for converting parallel to serial.
@keisuke @coolboymew I have seen adapter connections that long before though, I had to build one one time to get a scanner working but I don't remember the details anymore.
