If my country had invasion and occupation it wouldn't be nearly as advanced as it is now. Iraq used to be a regional hegemon, its military is weak now. Imagine how rich their state would be just selling their oil! And theyd be friends with Assad and Gadhafi and who knows maybe even Iran.
