Baiken from Guilty Gear was inspired by Tange Sazen and his Female Counterpart Onna Sazen (Lady Sazen). She was also Inspired by Kenshin Himura from the Shōnen Manga and Anime Series Rurouni Kenshin.

Baiken also got her name from the Legendary Japanese Swordsman Shishido Baiken. Who used a Kusarigama and challenged Musashi Miyamoto to a Duel and was killed by Musashi.
