Cause they know how to balance Fun And Competition. And they enjoy and embrace the Games for what they are while playin' 'em competitively. Especially Games like Dead Or Alive, Mortal Kombat, King Of Fighters, Garou Densetsu aka Fatal Fury, Soul Calibur, Killer Instinct, Goketsuji Ichizoku aka Power Instinct, Power Stone, Street Fighter, Virtua Fighter, Tekken, etc. And not get caught up in the Moral Grandstandin' nonsense. Granted you do some Western Tournament Players that enjoy Idol Showdown, Def Jam Fight For New York, Gundam Versus, Star Gladiator 2 aka Plasma Sword, Bloody Roar, and other Niche Fighting Games for what they are while playin' 'em competitively. But there exceptions these days. And not the rule. This take also applies to The Video Game Tournament Scenes in Asia, Africa, Latin America, South America, etc in general. They're better than the Western Video Game Tournament Scene for the exact same reasons that I mentioned.
