once my skin clears up again i'm gonna see what i can do about my acne scars
@mushroom_soup @georgia that retinol a is carcinogenic. scar tissue can resorb on its own but it takes a long time. i think most of these skin treatments will give you a negative outcome unfortunately
@meowski @georgia I love retinol, it is one of the few ingredients that's actually proven to prevent wrinkles
@mushroom_soup @georgia skeptical about this. it's some kind of acid (retinoic acid i think) that tightens your skin but i think in the long run it does more damage

people who have done a lot of skin treatments look like their skin is thin and zombie like when they get older.

i think instead just dont smoke, get a lot of sleep and plenty of essential fatty acids, and have a good amount of vitamin c
@meowski @georgia retinol speeds up the process by which your skin renews its cells which causes it to not accumulate as much damage as it would normally i believe
