@waterdev temporary and purpose-bound ones. For example, it may be sensible to have a command structure in an emergency room, on a ship or in a military unit

@waterdev that depends on the anarchist you'll ask. Some would say democracy is a scam and a failure. Others, myself included, would say that there are some good ideas in there somewhere, but it definitely doesn't go far enough

@schratze@todon.nl well, I think we need a more direct democracy, where laws should get voted on by the public.

@waterdev @schratze direct democracy can be an issue too, tho, since the public can just vote away a minority's rights on a whim whenever some spontaneous negative sentiments against that minority arise (that's an issue that we see in swiss, or example)

@phseiff @waterdev yeah, that's right. Direct democracy is good, but you need additional measures in place to protect minorities such as Black people, disabled people or trans people

@waterdev @schratze i think when schratze said "such as", they meant that it is just a list of examples, and i think these examples were chosen based on who is most dependent on legislature due to their special needs (trans ppl and disabled ppl need special medical care/accessibility, for example) and who is most easily discriminated against based on being easy to recognize (you can easily tell if a person is Black or transfem in many cases, for example; thus it is easy to discriminate against them), and stuff
