I had to tinkertroon with the windows registry to fix (“invert”) the scrollwheel. Thank you for reading my blog post.

@ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew @mikuphile I used to play GTA2, Half-Life, Starcraft … all kinds of stuff on WinMe. Oh and WinAmp; good times. Never had any problems with it.

@KingOfWhiteAmerica @mikuphile @ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew you got the classics bro...

when i was a kid i had a pc with windows 7 and played a lot of the classics on emulators, especially sonic 3, then in 3rd grade i got an Xbox for myself, good times

@themilkman @mikuphile @ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew I was playing SimCity3000 on WinMe during 9/11 - pretty much the entire day. My dad when he got home from work even asked me ”are you going to crash some airplanes into any buildings ? ha ha” and I thought he was just talking about how we used to do that on the older SNES SimCity.

A few hours later I got a phone call from my sister asking me what I thought about it. I thought dad must have told her I was playing SimCity3000 for some reason. That was a weird funny conversation - though eventually I understood what she was really talking about. Even then, I knew airplanes wouldn’t have pancake-collapsed the buildings.

@KingOfWhiteAmerica @mikuphile @ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew absolutely diabolical for your dad to make a 9/11 joke on the day it happened 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭
@KingOfWhiteAmerica @mikuphile @ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew one time my dad was driving through the city with me and he said "son, see that, that was the bridge i slept under when i was homeless" which completely shocked me because i never even knew he used to be unemployed once
@KingOfWhiteAmerica @mikuphile @ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew you know i respect my dad as a father figure, but he is at the same time, an awful husband.

one time my dad asked me if i wanna get in contact with a girl my age, since he was getting quite sick of me not bringing a girl home, i just said no at the time.

i found out later it was the daughter of a woman he cheated with...

@themilkman @mikuphile @ZRDR_DelRio @coolboymew There was this whole big cultural thing in the 80s-90s as I grew up, where adultery was just sort of the “default”. Even then, it disgusted me - and I couldn’t have told you why.

For example; I did a school report on JFK. I picked him because my family spoke highly of him. When I eventually found out he was a serial adulterer, it took the wind out of my sails, and I just sort of half-assed the rest of the report. But I wouldn’t have been able to tell you why, at the time.
