I believe the title is wrong, and that might be the S3 Neo i9301l. I know that because I have it (more on that later) and it's important because the Neo has 1.5GB ram, as opposed to 1GB that the original S3 had.

This phone is indeed great to use with just open source stuff. I use mine with Lineage OS 16 (Android 9) although Lineage 17.1 (Android 10) is available for it. I have FDroid and Aurora as app stores, Bromite for WebView, OSM for gps stuff and microG for any apps that absolutely require Google Play Services. A great thing about it is that the battery is replaceable, and I can still find new ones even now, so it has great long term potential. The microSD slot takes cards up to 64gb (verified myself).
The only big downside to it from my perspective is that the 1.5GB ram is really struggling these days, even if you just use it for light stuff, and not your actually daily driver. For modern software, it's just not enough anymore. So if you are considering it, make sure you don't get the standard S3, with only 1GB.
