Kinda true, but if you choose your phone wisely, you can flash a custom community made ROM, and have longer support than even Apple gives. I can literally put Android 10 on a phone released in 2014 if I want to. (I've stuck with Android 9 though).

I have trust issues with any search engine that is ok with manipulating the links in the results. If they already have a system in place to rewrite any amazon link, what's stopping them to use the system for more nefarious means?
