I never watched the show. I merely heard about it from American culture in general, but I still find the change kinda insulting.
She had such a perfect teacher look before, I'm not sure what look they're aiming for now.
I also find it ironic that every time when in the original source the female character is beautiful, they purposefully uglify her, but the one time a woman is unattractive, they make her look like a 20 year old aspiring photo-model in the remake. Why now?!
