@2ch
Maybe they get got some deal with Redhat/Canonical, and they subvention it (although clearly not by a lot).

@wowaname
Hard question to answer... I've been going through stuff lately, and I'm using the internet to cope.

@wowaname
If people didn't care about trans people, that wouldn't be a problem. It would mean people would leave you alone to do whatever you want with your life.

For example, I love F1 racing, but I don't care about Nascar, or Indy Car, or Touring racing. Do you see me bitching or ever mentioning those? Do you see me judging what happens in those sports? No, cause I don't care. I also don't care about Rwanda, or most African countries. And I also don't bitch about them and let them do whatever African countries do to themselves that people keep emigrating away.

People not caring about trans people is good, that's what you should want in society. You not occupying a single second in their mind is what you need so you can live a normal life.

The problem is when people DO care about you, as a human being, but they genuinely believe you are doing your life wrong. When these two things clash, THAT'S when you get people up in your business, trying to dictate how you do things.

@icedquinn @Awoo
I don't hang out there either, and I wouldn't even if you payed me. But I see no significant difference between what happens on Kiwifarms, and when progressives/feminists/lefty activists on Twitter decide to target a person and have them removed from society. If anything, the latter is worse as they have a far larger platform on which to do it.

current thing

@emilis @sampo kinda the problem is that cancel culture is hard channeling the worst elements of humanity (mob justice, irrational response with no interest in investigations or is actively hostile to investigation, fascistic us vs them to the extreme) which is totally fine for the people in charge of everything right now but is actually kind of a huge problem overall :cirno_sip:

they’re not even being put on a show trial for things they did they’re literally being punished for stuff that looks extremely false flaggy.

we’re intended to believe that 1) they hate transexuals, yet 2) they tried to get the police to murder a congresscritter that is supposed to also be anti-trans, based on … some anonymous phone call that could have been anyone. that makes no sense considering MTG agrees with what we’re supposed to understand KF’s politics are. i could literally do a bomb threat right now from a pay phone and just say i’m from puff place. wouldn’t mean shit.

then while actively encouraged to find an excuse to go after the site, they happen to exactly find one within a 20 minute window that it was available. from an account that has virtually zero activity on the site other than posting the perfectly gift wrapped threat they screenshot just in time to claim the forum was escalating violence.

by the way it’s not the first time; the same people did that to 8chan. “suddenly” a schizopost appears, is deleted by mods within the hour, but all the relevant authorities miraculously got copies of it and did their little dances about how this one particular gift wrapped event was all the proof they needed :blobcatwaitwhat2: it’s literally the same fucking playbook over and over again.

an incredibly cynical person might ask why if these places are so intolerably bad they can’t be properly brought up on harassment charges for things they did do and have to be star chambered using literally the thinnest possible evidence anyone could fabricate half asleep :blobcatglare2:

@zero
You could show me a live stream of a cop raping a child, and I still wouldn't agree with acab.

The potential that the two of them actually had this fight is amusing to me.

@blitzed
This is like finding emails of sanitation workers discussing the possibility of blowing up the Moon.

Just because they're discussing it doesn't mean it's something that can actually be done. The covid vaccine isn't designed to be taken orally, isn't designed to resist without refrigeration, and isn't designed to not be effected by chlorine or fluoride.

All these emails prove is your government officials are complete morons, who, despite having more than enough power, can't actually intentionally cause you harm because they're just that incompetent.

@nosleep
I wish this would kill bitcoin and every other shitcoin, but it won't. It will bounce back. Be patient. Might take longer, but considering the world is clearly headed towards economic problems, I doubt it will be long until people will want to use nongovernmental currencies.

@NaiJi
Because everything needs to be used for political indoctrination. Don't know what you're studying there, but there's a chance it was made by basically a communist.

I need to learn more about magnets, so I can do a post that follows the template:
"Fucking magnets, how do they [insert very complex physics process]?"
