The Calibre server approach can be done for Kobo devices too, but it gets a bit more complicated since you need to patch the firmware, and install KOReader. But afterwards it gets better, cause you can use KOReader to connect directly to your Calibre server.

Yes.
For cross-platform I recommend Feedly. Android-only I use FeedMe, or if you want FOSS, find Feeder on F-droid.
If you have a Kindle, set-up your own Calibre server to fetch the RSS feeds and send them to your Kindle email address, so your device can then download them from Amazon servers when it syncs.

Those are fake rumors though. They've been developing game all along. The games just don't live up to their standards, so things rarely get released.

They were testing out porting some of L4D2 assets into Source 2, and some people thought it was a L4D3, but it never went anywhere.

If I were Valve, what I'd do for April Fools is to "confirm" a 4th sequel to one of their games (not HL of course). Like a Left 4 Dead 4, or Team Fortress 4. Maybe even a Dota 4. Clearly, they'd play into the rumors that they can't count to 3, so now they'll skip the number entirely.
