Another strange Romanian lesson:

copii = children

It's pronounced "copy", (with a longer E sound at the end).
If you consider children a copy of their parents, then children are copii of their parents :)

In singular form, it's "copil". This time the E sound is normal length. You just pronounce it "copyl"
