Games that impressed me this year:
Callisto Protocol, Witchfire, and TMNT.
Of the three, I'll probably play Callisto Protocol at some point. TMNT just isn't my thing. Either as a genre or as a franchise. And Whichfire I'm not sure yet. It looks like a hybrid between Dark Souls and Doom. Depending on which of the two it's close to, I might or might not play it.
Games I'll keep an eye out for: Fort Solis and Routine. They might be good, they might be FNAF levels of cringe.
Having a quick look at the games announced, and the TMNT game has some of the best consistent and clean pixel art I've seen in a modern game.
Why I normally hate pixel art games (with a burning passion) is because they break the aesthetic by adding in advanced modern lighting, shadows, shaders or other effects. This TMNT actually looks the part. If it weren't for some overly detailed animations, I think it's plausible you could trick someone into thinking it's a 80-90s game.
How many queefs did @sjw actually smelled?
