There's no real age where you're independent from the stuff around you, you grow up thinking the same things you were taught as a kid.

If consent is necessary, then it's immoral to force them to spend 1/4th of their lives in school or literally anything else they're forced into. If it's okay because it's for their own good, then the same can be true of marriage.

"Consent matters, which is why I decide that they are not allowed to say yes" is just logically retarded anyway. You can't both hold that stance that consent matters but you're allowed to overwrite theirs
