Reminder - ALL types of attractions and fantasies are morally equivalent to one another.
There are MAPs, zoos, and other paraphiliacs with dark and sadistic thoughts. There always have been and always will be. They form a large part of this movement, and just like you, all they want is to not be demonized for what goes on in their head.
Are you worried about them ruining the public reception of the community? Don't be, because the people you're trying to appeal to are repulsed by even the most tame and vanilla MAP/zoo fantasies. Stop trying to put different fantasies on a grading scale, stop trying to separate them out from one another, because there is pretty much NO distinction between any of these fantasies in the eyes of antis. Stop trying to appeal to these people. Nothing you do will ever be enough for them.
@applejack If you think somebody is disgusting for having certain thoughts, cool, I don't really care. That is your own opinion which you are entitled to.
But if you're going to tell me that having a thought about something is equivalent to doing that thing in real life, you're off your rocker. If you truly believe that, then it would also make sense for you to believe that people who enjoy Grand Theft Auto should be imprisoned for theft and murder. Because "immoral thoughts" are morally equivalent to doing that immoral thing IRL, right? According to you, yup.
I can guess what you'd think in response to this. "But violent video games/thoughts are different!" But really, is it different? How is it different?
Somebody can do whatever violent things they want within imagination and fiction, things that would be horrible and illegal IRL, and that's perfectly fine, but the same doesn't apply to sexual things in imagination/fiction?
Make up your mind. Either ALL thoughts/fantasies that wouldn't be ok to enact in real life are alright, or none of them are.
The one thing that all fiction/fantasy has in common is that the "people" involved are not real and cannot be hurt.
Meaning that anything imaginary/fictional cannot be immoral, period.
In order for something to be immoral, it actually has to hurt real, living breathing people. People forget what "immoral" actually means, they think it's a synonym for "Eww I don't like this." But no, whether or not something is immoral has nothing to do with your personal feelings of disgust.
