@deprecated_ii It's probably just caching. Same as webbrowsers. More cached makes it faster. If you're not using the ram for anything it's wasted

That is why I am still using the same laptop I have been using for about half a decade, and why I will probably be able to use it for the next twenty+ if I really wanted to. Because the (majority of) software I use follow KISS principles and doesn't do stupid needless gimmicks in order to keep a bugman consooomer base and the highest amount of women in their dev team.
