In Windows we have System Restore that restores your computer to the previous restore point. Any program installed after the restore point is removed. User data is kept intact.

Do we have a similar functionality on Linux?

@GNUxeava You can put home and root on separate partitions and use btrfs to make a copy-on-write snapshot (only backs up files when they're changed)

I think that would be basically the same. Might also on one partition but idk how that works
