@deprecated_ii It's fine, you're just not used to it. Weirdness of it comes from the fact it's anime characters, and they don't act like actual humans

At least with dubs they don't sound identical. I hated dubs as much as you, watched like one episode of Strike Witches dubbed and just got used to it, now honestly prefer it over subs

I started with dubs and switched to subs

@deprecated_ii And? If you don't watch them you stop being used to them

Speak for yourself. I routinely find myself recognizing a set of Japanese void actors across numerous anime.

My ear isn't tuned well enough to Japanese (yet) to recognize VAs across shows but I never get character voices confused

@teknomunk @deprecated_ii I can recognise the guy that did Dio and literally nobody else. First experience of "hey, I know that guy" was Initial D. If you're jap I wouldn't be surprised if you have an ear for it though

@applejack @deprecated_ii It really depends on the show, but I will admit for longer shows or when I have shit going on, it would be nice to watch the dub so you don't need to keep your eyes trained on the screen or rewind if you miss something
